The Daterra Sweet Collection comes from the renowned Daterra farm in the Cerrado area in Brazil. The farm is famous for its innovative research and respect for the environment. The farm produces extremely high-quality coffee beans, especially ones suited for espressos. The sweet collection is also a Rainbow Alliance coffee, which means that the coffee has been produced ecologically and with sustainability, as well as in fair conditions for the workers. Rainforest Alliances’ goal is to use the environmental certificate to also affect customer behaviour.
The Daterra is grown specifically for espresso and is a firm favourite for those who love a rich, sweet, low acidity chocolatey coffee.
This coffee is a Rain Forrest Alliance certified coffee.
BIFTU GUDINA LOT#15
Jimma Zone, Agaro Ethiopia.
Derived from Amharic language, Biftu Gudina means “Ray of Development.” The cooperative was established in 2012 and is located in the Agaro – Goma woreda (district) within the Jimma zone. There are about 150 smallholders in total. Located near Jimma town, the co-op benefits from high altitude and rich fertile soils.
Since Biftu Gudina was established, it has become famous in speciality coffee circles thanks to its incredibly complex and luscious flavour. Consequently, their coffees now command prices that farmers could only have dreamt of in the past, often as much as four times more. Always one of the most eagerly anticipated arrivals of the season, Biftu Gudina is a classic Ethiopian.
